TED is a global community focused on meaningful change through the power of ideas. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, and Design. Since then, its scope has become even broader, from science to business to global issues - in more than 100 languages, online and in the real world. TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. These events TED-like events, curated by different communities that inspire innovation, thought leadership and visionary insight. Our event is called TEDxRyersonU, where x=independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.

TEDxRyerson

Our TEDx organisers are made up of students from the Ryerson University. We are passionate about all things TED and as leaders of tomorrow, are in the business of spreading great ideas every day. At TEDxRyersonU, TED Talk videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
